We have recently returned from a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable 10 night vacation at Vivara Private Pool Villas & Spa Retreat in Jimbaran, Bali. Our aim was to get away from our busy life and take a complete break. The resort comprises 48 beautiful, private, self-contained pool villas, most of which are one or two-bedroom. Each villa is like your own home-away-from home, with pool decking and lounges, an alfresco kitchen bungalow (with a daily replenishment of non-alcoholic drinks in the mini bar), outdoor rain shower and bathroom, and a spacious bedroom with lounge area. It is clear that the resort aims to make every guest’s experience as comfortable as possible. As we were so comfortable in our villa, we were determined not to become complete ‘holiday recluses’ and, despite room service being the option for many of the guests, we always walked to the poolside restaurant for breakfast each morning, afternoon tea every second day, before feasting on a fabulous evening dining experience on alternate evenings. Needless to say, we did not leave Vivara hungry! The resort is like a small community, and staff are more than happy to transport you to and from your villa using golf buggies, or you can take advantage of the communal bikes and scooters and ride around the resort pathways. Additionally, a complimentary shuttle service to and from Jimbaran Beach is available, and times are customised to guests, creating a very personalised and welcome service. Being a spa retreat, we indulged in five deep tissue massages each, and they were a highlight of our stay. The private bungalows are built in a traditional Balinese style, are quiet and calming, and the masseuses provided a comfortable, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Thank you, so much. The heart of the resort, though, is the staff. They were all, without exception, incredibly friendly, helpful, and always keen to converse and learn about their guests, or share their insights into Bali. We cannot recommend the Vivara staff highly enough. Thank you, Keke, and all your staff, for making our stay so enjoyable. We loved being immersed in the Balinese style of the resort, and Vivara did not disappoint as the ideal place for us to unwind and relax. We have no hesitation in recommending Vivara to any visitors searching for the same experience.

I can’t speak more highly of this excellent resort. Yes, it is away from the now very busy Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, etc and thats great. Less traffic and less noise! Just get a driver/taxi to visit other areas, they are still very reasonably priced (by Aussie standards). The gardens are beautifully maintained, the pools sparkling and our villa very comfortable and private, also it’s own plunge pool…..very refreshing in a hot climate. We ate very well from the extensive buffet breakfast (included in our package), the a la carte lunch menu (small meal for us after a hearty breakfast) and the dinners when we ate in. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and very well presented. I would like to give my greatest praise, and thanks, to the staff. I think we pretty much met them all as it’s not a huge resort. Without exception they were friendly, smiling, helpful, unobtrusive and a delight to spend time with. This was not our first trip to Bali, but probably the most memorable for all the right reasons. One aspect that should be addressed though is the lack of a full length mirror in the villa. A negative for my wife and adult daughters. Also I think 2 sets of keys should be provided in a 2 bedroom villa when 4 adults are staying. This would make the daily comings and goings easier

The positives are that it is in a central location. Staff are lovely and helpful, responsive and warm; nothing was too much of an ask. The pool is a good size, clean and private.Beds are comfortable and the hotel is secluded from the street noise. Daily room service was excellent and breakfast was included. The negatives: the villas are a little tired and need some updating and minor repairs. Overall, good value for money and though it is not a five star hotel, it served our needs very well.

La localización es perfecta ya que hace que te sientas perdido en el paraíso pero a la misma vez tienes la famosa localidad de Canggu a solamente unos minutos en coche/moto. Los servicios del hotel son excelentes, la comida del restaurante una pasada, el diseño de las villas único. Una opción 100% recomendada para aquellos que visiten Bali.

Lumbini Villas & Spa fue una suite única en estilo verdadero Balinese con piscina completa y muy accesible al aeropuerto con transbordadores a Lippo Mall y Centros comerciales de la tienda de descubrimientos. La hermana de la recepción es muy entusiasta y muy paciente. Nos quedamos dos noches. Un día necesitamos ir a Penida. El restaurante también nos ayudó a empacar dos desayunos. El desayuno es muy delicioso. La única deficiencia es que 🐜 es demasiado, 🚽 hay comida, aunque no es tóxico y inofensivo, Pero una experiencia un poco influyente, en general, es muy bueno, ¡el hotel es el valor de vivir!

We stayed at the Jumeirah as the last leg of our honeymoon following 5 nights at the Capella and 5 nights at the Four Seasons. These were activity based stats and Jumeirah at Uluwatu was the relax and recharge around the pool and beach. The hotel design and decor is stunning and our villa was incredible. Can’t fault it. However, amenities and inconsistent service really lets this hotel down. The good stuff: - e-butler service via WhatsApp was brilliant. In- room dining, great! -Marcel on concierge went above and beyond, he couldn’t do more for us! - Our in-room servicing team were super and made us towel animals everyday leaving us notes during our stay which was lovely. The not so good stuff: - Food was nice, but just ok. Poached eggs on toast… toast was burnt everyday and poached eggs watery. Omelette came out with whipped egg whites like you’d make in a pudding (very strange) and with alternative ingredients from your original order if they had run out of something. But, without consulting you. I was intolerant to one of the substituted ingredients. Similarly, I ordered a non alcoholic cocktail and they made it alcoholic. Little things like this can’t happen. - Unorganised and overly attentive service in restaurants. You have about 5 people waiting your table so you can’t enjoy your breakfast/ lunch or dinner without constantly being interrupted being asked the same question. You feel watched and pounced on during the meal so you can’t actually relax. Before you have finished your last mouthful and putting your cutlery down they are already whipping away your plate even if others at the table are still eating or you are still chewing your last mouthful of food. - Slow service in both restaurants and pool bar. Whilst quick to take your order and hovering, it took a minimum of 15mins to deliver your drinks with food sometimes beating your drinks to the table. If you’d ordered a frozen drink it had basically melted before it reached your table. Or they would deliver half your order and the rest would follow 10mins later so you were always chasing up food and drink and wondering if they got your order wrong. - We ordered a tuna salad and the salad came without the Tuna. The Tuna was then delivered separately 10mins later… - ordered an omelette and the toast came out 10mins before. - It doesn’t cater for western clients. Both how they execute basic western dishes and more broadly on culture. As a female, I was often ignored and only my husband was addressed. They would never hand me the bill, this always was passed to my husband, and they only ever asked him questions directly and ignored me entirely which I found rude and insulting. Classic western food on their menu was often excited on poorly. - No atmosphere around the pool. Play some soft background music. We found guests playing music themselves via their phone. We didn’t overly mind this but it shows they were all feeling the same and I wouldn’t expect at a 5* hotel to have peopl

La villa de 2 dormitorios que vivíamos los dos días siguientes fue reservada. Reservé 3 dormitorios. La habitación es muy grande y la piscina es mayor ～ Cocina; cada villa tiene cocina, tiene cuatro toallas, dos toallas, cuchillo de taza de plato, nevera, microondas, pantera, caldera de agua, condimento simple (aperitivos y salsa?). Compramos muchos alimentos en el supermercado, hicimos una cosa en el hotel, ¡me gusta! Piscina: Cualquiera de las habitaciones tiene piscina privada, la piscina tiene luz azul en la noche, muy bonita, sentado en el pequeño jardín. La piscina de 3 dormitorios es mayor que la de dos dormitorios, se siente aproximadamente 8 metros de largo ～ Desayuno: este desayuno es muy ceremonial! La recepción le permitirá comer y enviar el tiempo de comida el día anterior. El día siguiente habrá 2-3 un camarero colocará el desayuno en la mesa junto a la piscina a tiempo. Una familia podrá disfrutar de la desayuno en la piscina después de configurarlo. Es muy agradable ～ Servicio: Todo el personal de servicio del hotel es muy amable y cuando veas, te dirás un sonriso. El primer día de la recepción recuerdo de dónde vivir y de dónde.
