Waters Edge Liwonde

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The mosquito net was a little small for the bed so left gaps which was a little concerning. Food was great, particularly enjoyed the biryani and chicken khwasu khwasu. The service could do with a bit of improvement but overall it was a good experience. Would definitely recommend.

The place is a nice gate away situated close to Shire Rive, the main outlet of Lake Malawi. Boat safaris provides not only unique experience, but nice scenery of wildlife view. It is close to Liwonde National Park one of the parks that is home to the big five. Rooms are nice and staff very welcoming.

We had such a great experience overall. Very friendly hosts who were readily available to assist. The tour guide on the boat cruise was great, well experienced and friendly. However, you should consider adding barriers on the balcony areas to separate the rooms for more privacy for guests. The robes were too small and short, get bigger ones to accommodate more guests. Boat cruise should start in the late afternoon like 3:30pm or 4pm. We started off earlier and it was way too hot when going, we enjoyed the return trip much more! Have enough water and drinks for the cruise.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms with gorgeous views. Quiet and relaxing surroundings and the service is fantastic. The food is delicious. Would 100% recommend. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely experience!

Large spacious clean rooms. Staff friendly, attentive & super helpful. Food was absolutely outstanding. Beautifully presented balanced plates. So sad we only got to spend two nights here. If you gave time go on their sunset cruise. So relaxing and informative as you travel down the side if the national park.

The location, rooms & views were top notch! Amazing, friendly staff. Food was served cold on 1 occasion but delicious nonetheless. WiFi was shaky but helped us unplug & relax! Activities excellent! Strong 9 out of 10 trip!

Service was really great. Came for the boat ride and lunch inclusive. The lunch was served on time. Food was good,overall service fantastic. The guide on the boat, Patrick was very informative. The boat itself is well taken care of.

A totally wonderful time from the moment we arrived, we were greeted with cool wet towels and a refreshing juice. The staff were attentive and extremely welcoming. The food was excellent, with every meal being of a very high standard and absolutely delicious and plentiful. We were able to go out on the river cruise to see many hippos and a great array of birds. The next morning, we went into the park and did a game drive, which was also a wonderful experience. We hope to return at a time of the year when the animals may be more visible. However, we did enjoy the many types of birds and game that were around. Rooms were beautifully presented, comfortable, and spotless. The swimming pool was lovely, and perfect to cool off after the game drive or just to relax. Very peaceful and there was no concern with noise from trains. We will definitely recommend the Waters Edge to friends and family.
