We have stayed with hotel Birke last year, which was good. This time however, the experience was very bad.
We received a room, where there must have been some admin or the like above. There was a constant movement and the noise was very loud, which made it hard for us to fall asleep. Once asleep, we had the weirdest experience, as a man (likely an employee) barged in our room in the middle of the night. This woke my wife and made her very scared. He ran away and we barricaded the room for the rest of the night.
When we talked with the staff about this the following morning, they of course apologised and said it could have been a staff person who entered wrongly.
Also the staff in the pool, a gentleman was not really that friendly when he corrected our child, which was being very considerate in the pool.
In general the hotel gives a vibe that it has some good/upper class, but in reality the experience was very bad. This is a shame as we had gotten a good expression last year, but this time it was just bad.

This hotel generally has a very high standard and the staff is friendly and very professional. I would have expected this kind of hotel to be much more expensive. Excellent breakfast. The beds are very comfotable and our room was very quiet. The pool was also large and nice, but it was more intended for relaxation than swimmingpool.

WE had a three day stay over with Golf. We arrived on Thursday afternoon and had a 4 course meal in the package that was really nice. Breakfast is all you want - very nice choices on the buffet and you order what you would like the chef to prepare for you. Friday morning was the best buffet because it was not so busy as the other days where the hotel was full and things ran out fast. The rooms was Standard type and had a nice shower with body/hair soap. There was two different pillows, soft and hard and the bed was nice to sleep in, not too hard or too soft. There was a complimentary bottle of water in the room and an empty fridge free to useor your own drinks. We enjoyed some time the bar and had coffees, beers and drinks and it has a nice atmosphere. The Spa was visited only once - the pool was a disappointment - extremely cold and none of the features was working. The sauna and steam bath were ok. We had a good time and would definitely return.

A very nice and cozy hotel. The room we had, was very satisfying. The hotel staff is very polite and professional. The hotel has a cozy restaurant with very good food, and very friendly staff. There is also a small spa/saunaarea at the hotel, which is textilfree (FKK) and that we find very nice. There was some children in the spaarea beeing a little noisy and adults with bathingsuites, and without the staff saying anything.
