Holiday Inn & Suites Joliet Southwest

Do not stay here, this hotel has lots of issues. I arrived fairly late (9:30PM) and was exhausted. My phone was almost dead after a long drive, and I was frustrated to discover that all the outlets next to the bed in my room did not work. I eventually found one that worked on the other side of the room. I went to bed but as I was falling asleep felt something weird on my leg. I turned on the light, pulled down the sheets, and found what I thought was a bug on my leg. It turned out to be mouse poop. There was more of it in the bed. I packed up and went to the front desk. There was no one at the front desk. I looked around, the office behind the front desk was empty but wide open. I waited and waited, it was about 10:30 PM. Two large groups came in to check in, still no one at the desk. About 10 minutes later, someone showed up. Instead of saying, "sorry for your wait" he said, "wow the front desk blew up, man!" So unprofessional. I explained what I found in my room. He didn't believe me and din't apologize. He booked me in a new room. That room also didn't have functional outlets near the bed. He said he would leave a note about my issue for the manager. I didn't sleep well due to all the stress from this. In the morning, when checking out, I asked the front desk person if the manager was there, if there was a note about the room issue. She was sweet but barely spoke English. She just said, "everything is fine, no problems!" even when I was trying to explain. I hit the road and called a few hours later, asked to speak to the manager. She said, oh they cleaned the room, didn't find anything, it's all good." I explained to her that it wasn't all good and I wanted to speak to the general manager. She said he was gone. I called IHG company that owns this brand. They took my complaint and never called me back. Terrible customer service from the hotel and corporate. This room cost me $160, I asked them to refund what I paid but they refused.

Very cozy place. Beds were nice and clean and comfy! Pool however did have mold on edges which to me is a big concern also in our room there was black spots on ceiling which is very concerning. Tubs also very concerning as the floor was slippery and my toddler hit his head showering. Please get that situated or you guys could get a lawsuit on your hands. Other than that it was a nice stay! Loved the restaurant option added onto it as well! Staff was super friendly and kind and bilingual which is a plus in my book!

Check in was wonderful, however the jacuzzi and swimming pool was very dirty… the sauna was ok. Our room was ok. The pull out sofa bed was small. Other than that , the staff were very kind and pleasant.

Great hotel . All you can Breakfast too expensive for what was offered. Pool dirty and jacuzzi had mold all around the top and all over the foam floating on top . Very disappointed not able to enjoy/relax in pool area.

Went for a birthday party and stayed just to let the kids swim place was packed lots of families had the same idea

Comfortable bed, clean, good eggs bacon yogurt on 1st morning there, nice gym. There was a light behind the headboard that I couldn't for the life of me find the swich for. Had to google it at 3 am, turned it off, then a dog started barking (they allow dogs). Worst night of sleep ever. On my last morning there, the food ran out! Well, I got the last tablespoon of scrambled eggs, and had to ask for a cup of yogurt. Make sure you get your breakfast early before it runs out. In all my years of travel, I have never experienced that. In spite of that, the bed was comfortable and room was clean. Staff was nice, and they allowed me a late checkout. I had to dock one star for the breakfast, but everything else was great.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Holiday Inn. The location was perfect for our visit and the room was beautiful. In fact, the entire property was so well kept and beautiful. I used the pool, the sauna and the whirlpool in the a.m. and my husband used the workout room! The beds were so comfy! We also had a burger and fries for dinner, and ate breakfast at the restaurant. It was an entirely pleasant experience! I couldn't recommend this facility enough! Holiday Inn will be my new go to for stays in my future travels!
