I enjoyed my stay. Front desk work was nice.
There was one issue. It didnt bother me really since im use to florida things. There was a roach on the wall. Id upload a photo of this site let me.

Highly over priced motel for its condition. Old, outdated and smelly, but then again, most motels down the shore are like this Great Staff though!

I was at BML for 3 nights. I have been visiting Belmar and staying there for many years and really liked it. Rating was always high. This stay has changed my opinion of the place, however. I’ll start with the one and only high note I experienced. Tommy, the evening manager is excellent: Very pleasant and accommodating. Justin - not so much. Very unprofessional and confrontational. In all my years I have never been treated as disrespectfully as I was by this young man. It left a bad taste in my mouth about this establishment and impaired my enjoyment of this year’s visit to Belmar

Great location for convenience. The Pier is across the street with lots of food options. Parking is easy and access is easy. There were people shouting in the hall way at night and the room had an "old" smell which made it definitely feel like a motel or motor lodge. It served my needs though so was fine.

We checked in late in the evening, and upon arriving asked the front desk if we could have a late checkout, noon instead of 11. She said no problem I’ll note it. Come 11am an employee by the name of Justin bangs on the door, and says you have to get out. Returned key to front desk, and tried to explain what the girl at front desk stated last night. He called us liars, and to get off the property. It was kinda laughable. He is seriously unbalanced and has no business being in the service industry.
Hotel has no-smoking signs posted everywhere and room was advertised as non-smoking. The whole hotel smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The blankets on the bed were ratty with multiple cigarette burns, as well as the carpet. The whole property is in disrepair. We travel often and the combination of poor condition and poor service make this the worst hotel we have ever stayed at.
On a good note, the restaurant across the street, Marinas was excellent.
