West Wyalong Caravan Park

Absolutely immaculate amenities blocks, and the park is very quiet and friendly. Can very much recommend if you are going in this direction and you will not be disappointed in any way. We were heading south and found WWCP on both Google and Hema Maps.

Booked pet friendly cabin over phone, was told dogs could stay inside cabin. Was uncertain if I was staying on for second night, owners husband taking booking put a lot of pressure on me to pay up front for second night. Owner on book in was rude, abrupt and unpleasant. I was struggling carrying three bags out of taxi and could not also hold dogs on leads. Until I put bags down, they were 'off-lead'. She instantly scolded me about dogs and didn't let up even once I dumped the bags and sorted the dogs. They are extremely well trained and remained within 1 metre of me. Owner just seemed to need the opportunity to establish herself as 'alpha'. Horror experience. Owners cat under cabin all night hissing, growling, scratching. Tradies' crane-trucks arrived late, parked around my cabin and fired up at about 5am. Alarm in park office nearby went off midway through night and stayed on for lengthy period. Very sleepless night. Serious safety issues: Gas dials on stove do not turn off. Caused huge flare when I went to light it later, filled room with smoke, apparently no functioning smoke alarm. Further drama with Colonel Kristal when I took my washing to laundry. Both hands full carrying washing bags, had my chihuahua in a bag rather than on a lead, and again, until I could organise myself, the dogs entered the laundry with me. See all those cameras around the compound ? They obviously hook up to Krystal's internal surveillance system, because there she was, the moment she could find something to jump me for ! There are polite ways to deal with issues, and then there's Colonel Kristal at West Wyalong Boot Camp. No excuses, Kristal - read your reviews and get some training in customer relations. Sought refund on second night's booked accommodation. Business owners' husband flatly refused: 'WE DON'T DO REFUNDS'. No. If you're contemplating a pleasant night's stay in a congenial atmosphere, this place is...just no.... Once your money's in their pocket, the attitude's 'SCREW YOU'.

No telstra. Staff suggested use optus. WT! Im with telstra cos they have the best coverage at the highest cost. never heard of optus having better coverage. Methinks the roadhouse has done a deal with optus! No hot water either! Standard staff response "maybe it will come on later" .No way to 3 way. We'll stay further up the track next time!

Very quiet location with no noisy trucks passing by. Stayed one night on our way to Tooraweenah. Easy access to sites which are all drive through. Immaculate bathrooms and toilets. All gravel surfaces. Town center easy walk from caravan park. Enjoyed a take out pizza from Luxor which was loaded with lots of topping. Staff in local hardware store recommended them to us. She was right it was a loaded pizza.

Quiet park right in the centre of town, immaculate bathrooms, (nice touch with the availability of provided bath mats :).) easy walk to supermarket, eateries and coffee shops so perfect for drive through nights. Thanks and well done. We will keep it on our list as we pass through in the future.

Just off the beaten track. Helpful staff. Good drive through site. Very neat and tidy facility and well curated. Facilities easy to access and well located. Some noise from traffic but not really any issues.

With ebikes, we needed a cabin of a good size, to have them inside. The cabin was really large, clean, and very nice. Two bedrooms, easy access, lovely verandah. Very quiet area, even though the road was not far away. Only one thing to improve, was to have a blind or thick curtain over the sink. The window is opposite the bathroom, so privacy was a concern. It just meant to come out of the bathroom, fully clothed. Easy to fix, with a pull down blind. Otherwise very good and good price.
