Baba Guest House

Excellent service and support. Great location, near the main ghat. This is a guest house, not a hotel. So you have to be prepared to stay with minimal amenities. But it is enough for a spiritual tour. The owner is was very helpful and took care of me well. He is always reachable when you need help. This whole place are full of stairs and you have to be prepared to walk up and down the stairs. It is also away from the main road just like all other guesthouses near the ghat.

A modest but clean and very save family guest house. Excelente location, close do Ganga River. The staff was always available, competent and very warning. The family is lovely. Amazing view over Varanasi and Ganga river. Excellent restaurant with good food. Relaxed atmosphere, specially during Holi Festival. Good Wi-Fi.

This was my first time visiting Varanasi & we wanted to pre book our stay to avoid any hassles. After doing an extensive research on the Internet and speaking with various vendors we finally came across Baba Guest House. The owner Gopal Jha was extremely polite and helpful with sharing the right information and he also showed us the room via video call. Baba Guest House is conveniently located on Munshi Ghat and all major attractions like Dasashwamedh Ghat & Kashi Vishwanath temple are at walking distance. All the ghats in Varanasi are well connected and you can just walk by them by exiting the guest house. The rooms are clean and comfortable and as this is a family business we experienced a very friendly vibe and Gopal Ji and his family were amazing hosts. We celebrated Holi at the property as they had arranged a small event on their rooftop and it was the best Holi celebration ever. Great location, awesome Wi-Fi speed, safe and secure accommodation. There is a rooftop cafe called Aadha Aadha which serves a decent spread. We totally recommend staying at Baba Guest House for a comfortable and memorable experience in Varanasi.

We spent few days in Baba Guest House and we enjoyed a lot our time here. The boss, his staff and his family were very kind, attentive and always ready to help. I needed a PCR test before crossing Nepali Border. The boss ***aged everything for me. The Doctor came directly to the Guest House to do the test and the day after, the boss printed all the report for me. We had a very nice experience in Varanasi. It's a beautiful exemple of hu***ity !

I stayed in varanasi and baba guest house for one month, and I couldn’t be more blessed! I rented a clean single room with a nice bed, window with sunlight, and warm blanket for cold January nights. The staff would clean my room and bed sheet whenever I needed and when it was very cold they offered double and triple blankets. The room was very spacious and never had weird odors or unwanted rats or insects! As a music student in varanasi I was able to practice undisturbed from 10 00 till 23 30 at night with no problems. The staff and boss were always very receptive about any concerns I had and tried there best to fix all situations. The boss is a very hardworking, curious, and social ***. His wife is also a very sweet, funny, and problem solving boss/***ager. They are available almost anytime to help you with anything you need. They have 2 nieces in the front desk although naughty children; are also very helpful with any issues you might have that they can handle! A personal story! I needed help with receiving a Covid test 48 hours before my international flight and the boss helped to arrange somebody to give me my pcr test. Unfortunately the person originally hired was not responsible and it was Sunday so ***y testing areas were closed. The boss personally took it upon himself to drive me 45 minutes to the nearest 24hr Covid testing center and helped me fill out all my forms and make sure everything went smoothly. This is a testament to there character and problem solving abilities! Thank you for a wonderful month and see you next time!

I strongly recommend this guesthouse. The clientele is mostly Japanese and Korean (there is a shelter full of books in those languages), which is quite a nice change of scenery. Customers can have filtered water free of charge and free wi-fi; which is a basic necessity nowadays. A roof terrace allows you to enjoy the evening breeze or admire the sunrise over the Ganges. 📍 Located in the maze of Bangali Tola, near Munshi Ghat. 🛏️ The room is very clean and comfortable. The bathroom doesn't have mold and the room does not smell of humidity. 💁🏽‍♂️💁🏽‍♀️ The personnel is professional, helpful, and speaks quite a good English; especially one young wo***. 🫰 The price is right for such good quality guest house.
