Travelodge Myeongdong Namsan Hotel

Hotel is not far away from the train station. It is about around 5 minutes’ walk from the train station, Euljiro 3 (sam) ga, Exit 12. They can hold the luggage for the guests up to a day, if not you need to look for lockers to store your luggage when moving about the different places out of Seoul. You can also pay a deposit of 5000 won for the loan of the umbrella when it rains. Overall, it has been a pleasant stay. Thank you!

15mins walk from multiple line (Euljiro 3-ga, Chungmuro, Myeongdong). However, hotel located at slope. Room is clean and 24 hours reception service. Have water dispenser for hot/ cool water. Room size is good for family. Hotel next to GS25, CU, coffee shop & famous restaurant. Overall, good for price! :)

The hotel is good in terms of its location and convenience, which is somehow important in Seoul for tourists.

Really had a great stay here. Close to myeondong street to shop. the services are really great. they can help to storage our carries, before and after we stay. really recommend you to stay here if you want to stroll around myeondong

The location of the hotel is really good. It's the centre of 3 different subway stations and only 10-15mins walk to MyeongDong. If you choose this hotel you can take the airport bus, really direct and comfy.

Everything was good, as expected from a Travelodge hotel. However I noted there was a smell in the hallway and in the room. I thought it was a chemical like smell after renovation while my friend thought it was a not so good smell air refresher.

Central and quiet location. There are several subway stations within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Convenience store right next door. The superior room was ok, but nothing special. Very large TV, small fridge available. The bathroom is small and has hardly any storage space. The smart functions of the bidet unfortunately did not work. The fitness room is very small but open 24 hours. Perfectly ok for the price if you are out sightseeing during the day.

Dead mosquito with blood stains on the wall. Despite of my receiving confirmation email, I could not check into a hotel I had originally booked. So Trip.com agent suggested me to book this hotel, showing me great clean photos that are like a brand new hotel. Turned out that there was a dead mosquito on the wall with blood stains. It was already past mid-night so I complained the next day. Trip.com said they would contact the hotel. But they did not. And so I was not given a new room or any update from Trip.com until I complained further. Now I am arguing that Trip.com has deceived me by showing me brand new hotel room photos that are untrue and forced me to stay in a developing country quality hotel room. All the more so as Trip.com did not properly send me check in info for me to stay at the other hotel I had originally booked. It's been more than a week and this dispute has still not been resolved. Trip.com is being irresponsible in claiming that the hotel has refused to return the money when Trip.com, while having responded that it would talk to the hotel, had never done so - or so it seems judging from their follow up emails - and Trip.com does not take the responsibility of deceiving me. I wish we could call the police and arrest Trip.com as a company, hold them accountable and bring justice to the system. Do not stay in this hotel - never ever book this hotel as I have not received a word of apology for the poor room via Trip.com - and never ever use Trip.com. Don't. Just don't ever use Trip.com. In my opinion, *********** is a bit more responsible and they do a better job relative to Trip.com. So never use this website ever.
