I thought it was over priced and the linen was poor quality stayed 3 nights towels replaced once and floors were not swept at all

From a promising start our stay at this motel went somewhat downhill. While the room and bed were comfortable, there was a dark stain on the bedspread that raised questions about cleanliness. Like many motels of this era, the bathroom was very outdated and we had a problem with getting hot water at the sink. Only after running the shower did we get the hot water to come through to the sink. Ecofriendliness was disappointing - using single soaps, with plastic wrappers, and individual plastic bottles of shampoo, conditioner, etc is not the way things are done these days. Also, separate bins for recyclable material and general trash would have been nice.

Shower was terrible. Just dribbled, temperature went from freezing to boiling randomly. Totally unacceptable. Room was basic otherwise, but clean. Location is OK, but then nowhere is far in Scone! WiFi was very slow.

The property in on the southern side of town and is in easy walking distance of the pubs, Coles and a few other shops. It was great to use as a base.
The room was small but comfortable. The shower was tiny but the water pressure and temperature was fantastic after a long day out.
The Queen bed was hard but comfy. Plenty of pillow.
The room was very dusty and the floor gritty like it hadnt been cleaned for a while.
Overall we were very happy and left feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Hot water took 3-4 mins to arrive at the tap - this is very poor and an expensive way to supply hot water.
The fridge managed to freeze our milk and other breakfast items overnight. Rather a nuisance when we were trying to leave early!

Sadly Airlie House's best days are behind it or potentially they may be in the future. The property is currently in a run down condition. The tariff for a twin room was on par with Sydney prices and while our room was comfortable it lacked hot water both in the evening and next morning. We couldn't complain as the desk was unattended.

I rang the week prior to my wedding to confirm our accommodation. They tried to call me while I was getting married and out of service. I rang back on my way to the reception to be told. You did not answer your phone when we rang so we have given your room to someone else. Very inconvenient on your wedding day when everything else was booked out. The guy was so rude on the phone and didn’t give a damn that he had inconvenienced anyone. I won’t be recommending to anyone
