If you are going to Mayo Clinic, there is no better place to stay then Kahler Grand! It is connected to the clinic by the subway or a simple walk across the street. The rooms are clean, updated & very comfortable. Parking is also convenient & connected to the hotel. Restaurants are within the hotel, subway system or a short walk. Staff are always friendly, helpful & kind! Mayo wheelchairs are available for use ( to & from the clinic & in the hotel) if needed. There is a swimming pool & workout area also.

Room 845 is new, clean and convenient to Mayo. The mattress seems a bit old and tilted to the side. It may be close to time to replace.

It's such a historic, unique hotel. The only bummer is paying extra for parking, but the pool is amazing and relaxing. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.

Room updated in a contemporary style and was very comfortable; bathroom roomy and nicely done; hard to tell one is an older facility.
Very convenient to Mayo Clinic; plan to stay here on our next visit.

The heated in our room was messed up at 2:30 in the morning. When I called staff to fix it she was very rude

The water in the shower was just above lukewarm - after asking 5 (five) times to desk staff for a fix. Pool was closed every day but one of our stay. Only one chair in room to sit in, so asked for second chair and was promised one….never delivered. Back stairway from pool area was extremely filthy. Very, very disappointed.

The best thing about this hotel is the location if you have Mayo Clinic appoin**ents. No hotel other than the Marriott is more convenient.

This property is very convenient to the Mayo Clinic. However, it is older and "well-loved," not very well maintained. The heat in the room stayed 8-10 degrees above the thermostat setting, and the kind maintenance provider could not determine what was wrong. That provider did bring a fan though which was very helpful. Overall, the hotel is not worth the price, except for convenience to the Mayo Clinic.

Valet staff was excellent other than that the rest of the staff we had to request items 2-3 times before we actually got clean towels etc. they were also very unhelpful room was like a sauna repair guy said that’s just how it was.
