The resort is very nice, the location is perfect. However, when we first arrived the water wasn't working. It was then fixed but it looks a yellowy colour. Insect repellent doesnt seem to be working in the room ( its a plug in one) the lady sprayed the room on day one which worked but apparantly they have run out of it. We had an early start and the breakfast in the lounge was our only option, the bread/ croissant were roxk hard and dry. Other then that the usual breakfast is ok. I would recommend getting the edge water reservation for dinner the good is better then the Mercardo. We got half board but the catch is that ypu have to pay for drinks and water, which you obviously can't eat the food without, we came for are honeymoon and expected it to be included not having to pay extra for drinks. Lastly we found a waiter who was amazing and has sorted us out this trip, his name is Muzammal, he has literally made it amazing at the outrigger!

Check in by Krishna was very cold & not welcoming. Surprised that this individual is allowed to check guests in. Cold , no smile, rushed, unpleasant. I was not done finishing my welcome drink and he was in a rush to bring us to our room.
Rod, front desk manager, nice & welcoming. Ensures guests are happy.
Resort: older resort in need of renovation. Reminded me of cuban resorts. Old furniture, dated AC but blows nice cold air. Generous room space.
Check out: unfortunately got krishna again while checking out. This gentlemen needs to quit his job. I was speaking in english and he continuously answered back in creole. I had to tell him if knows how to speak in english as my wife does not speak Creole. Bad bad service.

Had the best time ever at Outrigger. Staff was superb, great, very very kind, lovely and so helpful. Love the food. Wow the food and drinks especially cocktails superb. Very nice hotel and will be back soon and I highly recommend this hotel. The best ive been so far❤️❤️❤️ Diksha, Yoven, Ashley, Sharonne, Eveleen and All the staff thank you very much... special thanks to Yoven and his team also Diksha and her team. Staff were great and always helpful, especially Diksha from Le Bleu and Reena fro the spa. Housekeeping can be a bit better as we didn’t have laundry bags or ironing facilities in our room. Also there is no privacy in family rooms with showers that have no doors. So if teens needed to use the toilet while an adult was in the shower they had to wait. It would be good to have a small lounge area to sit instead of just on the bed. The half board stay was perfect for the family to get together.

Have been there for a day package for team building. Personally i will not book again as service was awful. Cannot order food although on all inclusive package and no tea time, not much variety for lunch buffet. Only one lady at bar to serve all clients.

This is the 3rd time I been there with my family. Was very disappointed 1. Nothing in the mini for an all inclusive package 2. No refill of water in room 3. No change of pool towels 4. Staff on bar exhausted and responds rudely 5. Dinner buffet was minimal pork menu was not on separate display 6. Breakfast buffet was also very stingy and pork bacon was next close up to the veg omelette. 7. Lunch at Edge resto was the worst we waited for 2 hrs before food arrived. We asked for a water bottle and it arrived when we finished lunch. Food quality terrible I spoke to the manager on the Breakfast buffet and he did not even propose any alternative or compensation. Not value for money at all!

Overall we had a great stay. The resort itself is not very big compared to some others in Mauritius. But the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food is decent and they have a different theme every night at their main restaurant. The pool is big enough although it can get quite cold. Would be nice to have a heated swimming pool. Unfortunately the resort does need a bit of renovation in some areas especially the room. And location is a bit far from everything.

Excellent service by the whole staff, we loved the atmosphere, especially sitting outside for breakfast and dinner. Breathtaking ocean view from our balcony. Very relaxing and not too crowded. Good to have an own car and move around, since there is so much to see. We were well taken care of, thank you so much.

We got a free room upgrade, and the staff were super helpful, especially for young children. The beach access and location were great. Food choices can be improved, and this was a common complaint from other guests too - the choices were ok but food quality was not upto expectations.
