My husband and I stayed for two nights. It is a long drive from El Paso, but it was well worth it! We had a wonderful time and found it very relaxing - we were so glad we went. The rooms are very comfortable, the service was top notch and the view from the "lake" was absolutely lovely. I highly recommend a visit to the ranch.

This is the perfect place to go to unwind, have fun and relax! I have been with friends in the past, but decided to go solo this time. The rooms are large and well equipped with luxury towels and bed linens. For those that MUST have coffee, like myself, there is a Nespresso machine with a variety of pods. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Tom and Lupita will make every effort to accomodate you. My favorite activity has always been the ATVs. Luis was a great guide. The place is spotless. The staff is great. I have always met other guests that I still keep in touch with.

We spent Christmas at the ranch. It is a beautiful property. It was a little understaffed while we were there. It takes a little while to figure out where to check in. Our room was great. Dinners were nice the two nights we at at the ranch. It is a set menu and there are not choices. They will accommodate if it is not something you can eat but I would prefer choices. The menu for dinner is not posted or told ahead of time. We did an ATV ride which was only an hour, not the 1 1/2 hours posted. It was our first time to ride and did not feel we were given an opportunity to get used to the vehicle before the guide took off. It is a beautiful ride but a little expensive for an hour. I did not request to shorten the ride even though I was slow.

No place better. We stayed there years ago. I had dreamed of returning with a group of friends. It was hard to imagine that reality would live up to my dreams. . . but the experience certainly did. Thank you everyone! We took 16 people and 12 dogs. ALL had the most wonderful time. Some just relaxed. Some stayed busy. Something for everyone. Completely comfortable in all respects. And, well, the food. . . !

This place is amazing. Tom, Lupita and their staff are second to none. They handled every detail and never said no to us. The forts are historical yet so very livable, especially for a great get away from Dallas. The elevation changes and the sheer beauty of this place is unbelievable. I'd share pictures but photos don't do it justice. The food? The food was AMAZING! Thank you Mr. Poindexter for taking something historical and making it accessible for all. I'm a 7th generation Texas but this was my first time to the Big Bend area...it wont be my last.

We had the most amazing West Texas vacation at Cibolo Creek Ranch... from the luxurious, ranch themed accommodations and immaculate grounds nestled in the Chinati Mountains, to the array of wildlife and ranch activities, delicious, authentic southwestern cuisine, exceptional customer service, and the most amazing sunrises I've ever seen. We can't thank Tom enough for going above and beyond to ensure that our stay was an unforgettable experience! I highly recommend this resort and we are looking forward to our next visit!

Bucket list and exceeded my expectations!!!! Can not say enough about the experience. For starters the history of this ranch is overwhelming - but throw in the exceptional service and the combination is off the chart. The rooms are spotless. Welcome reception from staff heartwarming. The food service/kitchen to table - simply amazing. And adventure tours a blast. From Lupitto - to Erik- to Octavio- to chef- to housekeeping… to grounds keeper and maintenance - every person seems so authentic and kind. If you have the chance to sit down with Cowboy Tom… we’ll he might be the most interesting man in the world! We will be back and just appreciate the entire team. Thank you for caring! Nicely done… very nicely done

This place is totally overrated. The rooms have not been remodeled since probably the 1980s. Everything is very overpriced. One day for lunch we were served a plate of pasta with shrimp and white sauce. The entire dish was white food. There was no color, no vegetables, nothing and it was a $40 lunch per person. When I arrived, the lady checking us in mentioned a yoga class and I said I would like to do yoga, but she never followed up with me on a location or confirmation for the class and when I checked out I was charged $165 for a yoga class that I did not attend. I have 2 issues with this, first, I would expect a yoga class to cost around $20 at a resort, second, she never confirmed or even told me where the class would be held. I disputed the charge, but they still charged me. Also, about one hour after we left, I realized I left my computer charger and a little box with jewelry in it in the room. I called and asked in a voicemail if they would return the items, but they never responded, and I have not received any of my items. I have called back several times and left voicemails because no one ever answers the phone there. Basically the staff must have stolen my jewelry and charger. It was about $1000 in valuables. There are so many places in the area towards Big Bend that are so much nicer and more affordable. This place is a joke, and the people working there are dishonest. While it is located in a beautiful scenic area, it is not worth your money. I do not normally write reviews but I am so frustrated with my experience that I had to do it. I will add that this was my third time staying there because my husband really likes the place but every time I leave there I am annoyed because it is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. I’m pretty sure we ended up spending over $8000 for three nights. We did a horseback ride but that is the only excursion adding to our charges. It was me, my husband and two of our children ages 10 and 8. I will not be going back there.

The first night of our spring break west Texas vacation we happened to choose to stay here for the first time, and it was a world-class experience. The five-ish mile private road from the highway to the main compound is a truly scenic drive in and of itself, and the several times we took it we saw wildlife including some animals that, although we were in close proximity, we could not even identify or recall ever having seen before. We always enjoyed that drive. The compound itself just has to be seen, and the history -- well documented throughout -- abounds. (Any historians among you -- take note!) Our rooms were authentic as what I would call Spanish missionary-period style, and way more than comfortable. The rooms and extensive grounds were spotlessly clean our entire stay. The family/ranch style meals were each superb, and became events in themselves that we looked forward to. Their pecan pie was so good that, as a sixth generation Texan, I can only say that it reminded me of my grandmother's. We participated in only a few of the activities available (we did mountain tours, hikes, fishing, swimming), but there were so many others on offer that we would have taken advantage of if we had the time. The staff is ubiquitous and genuinely friendly and generous with their time. They've thought of all the amenities to the point that my data and wifi signals were better than at my downtown office. We were only supposed to stay that first night, but each morning we agreed to ask to extend our stay another night because we knew that we would be disappointed by the next place by comparison. This continued each morning for five days and completed our vacation -- we used the ranch as our home base for seeing all the sights we were after, including Big Bend. We even met the mayor of a nearby town who is literally a goat that drinks beer all day -- we had fun. I highly recommend Cibolo Creek Ranch, and my best to the staff.
