WOW! This is an incredibly special place with incredibly special people!! Let's start with the view...beyond compare! The moment you step inside, you are enveloped with the smell of roses and the beauty of fresh flowers. The rooms, charmingly labelled with letters rather than numbers, have incredible views of the water and mountains. Take time to relax and just soak up the unsurpassed beauty. The rooms themselves are spacious and gorgeous. Even the walk down the curved hallways is special. The spa is small but mighty...make sure to get a chocolate massage... other worldly and Swiss chocolate like you've never experienced it before... relaxing and good for the skin too :) The location is fabulous as well, just a short ride into town with loads of restaurants, parks, every designer boutique imaginable and smaller boutique shops, museum and concert hall, all in a beautiful setting. Also, take note of the incredible art. Barbara curates art from a different artist every month or so to display throughout the hotel. She was very helpful in arranging for my husband and I to meet the current artist, whose work we fell in love with :) Also, the gourmet dining room has a Michelin Star chef and offers, among other things, an eight course chef's fantasy menu...delish! The other dining room has wonderful bistro style dishes, as well as live music...a fabulous pianist /singer entertained us :) Everyone at the hotel was very helpful, patient and gracious, and always provided service with a smile :) My husband and I truly hope to visit again someday and stay even longer :) Grazie Mille, Villa Principe Leopoldo!!
