Lake Tiak O Khata Resort

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Everyone that we interacted with was so nice and courteous.

The stay was more than expected and their food was so good. We wish we were living closer because we would dine there frequently. Also, they have affordable prices for hotel and cabin stays. We will definitely return.

This is one of our favorite places to stay around starkville area for football and baseball tournaments! 30 min drive to state games and easy access!

Nice for older place. I don't like how lake is across busy street from hotel and camp grounds.

Very, very neglected property. Horrible stains at bottom of toilet & in corner of bathroom. We arrived early & room wasn’t available so front desk took phone number to call when room was ready. We waited in parking lot, although of course we could have stayed inside. At official check in time still had received no call. When I went inside to see what was going on, I learned that all rooms had already been cleaned & they didn’t call because they were “too busy.” Ordinarily that would not have been a problem but we had limited time to change clothes & drive to another town for a wedding & had not realized the check in time was 4 PM. Obviously mistake about check in time was on us but their asking for phone number but never calling was on them. When we got back that night had very difficult time getting keys to open our door. Key (old fashioned key) worked fine earlier but we were on verge of calling office when we finally jiggled one of the 2 keys in just the right way to open the door. That of course was little more than annoyance but certainly did not raise my opinion of this property. I can say desk between beds had generous options for plugging in devices. Also bedding looked nice with bright white comforters, but those comforters were apparently designed for Alaskan winters & the only other option for cover while we slept was the sheet. I can say that AC unit worked very well.

Room was clean but is showing it’s age. While showering water wouldn’t drain.

Though our travel here was for a life celebration we throughly enjoyed the resort. Yes a bit summer camp feeling, which we absolutely love, everyone was incredibly friendly and nice and the facilities are in good shape. Feeding the duck, geese and fish was a daily event. Let me tell you they have some awesome cooks!

The property has easy parking and nice beach and restaurant area. My family of 4 stayed there and enjoyed the food (both the dinner and breakfast buffett and the beach menu for lunch) and beach. The beach has a younger side area (small slide and splash waterfall), a bigger kid area (bigger slides and sports), and then all the stuff that's out in the lake for those that can swim. I plan on making an annual trip out of this area.

Stayed here a few times over the years. Beautiful location, rooms are in good condition. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Has a good restaurant for lunch or dinner.
