We had a great tour with our seasoned guide Alfred who took us to meet talented artists living in nearby towns and village open market. He really is something! We enjoyed the settings of the lodge, lots of space, vast well-kept garden (thanks for the lemons!) tough or easy walks to the waterfalls, plenty of birds and monkeys. The room we had (Luvhuvu) was simple (but bright and tastefully decorated), had a comfortable bed and a private terrace with braai looking on the mountain that was a treat. Livhu and Percy (and every single staff, I do not remember all their names) were great hosts, enthusiastic, helpful, professional, ready to organize last-minute changes to accommodate guests, a real pleasure to deal with them all. The food was good, inventive and abundant. The place has an alchemy that maybe has its roots in the right combination between a new management and well-trained long-time employees.
