Overall everything worked perfectly except customer service on checkout. Room was very nice, clean and very quiet. Accordingly resting was enjoyable. But, there is really something to improve on customer service. On checkout the person was more cold than friendly to me and clearly needs some training with customer service skills. Of course everybody has bad days but that can’t be the reason for poor quality. Customer service personnel are the business card of the company.

Best location in Kuopio. Very good breakfast. Clean room. Water kettle should be available free of charges in all rooms.Now we had to bring our own. Nice hotel anyway - our home away from home in Kuopio.

Stayed one night late February. The room was very fine with good space and views. But one of the pillows smelled mold. The pillow had to be locked in the closet because of the smell. I had also troubles with the door lock. The door was difficult to open.

Location and breakfast (and staff at the breakfast room) raises overall rating from "average" to "very good". We had room with an infrared sauna. Do not pay any extra for this option - an infrared sauna is a joke! It's Insult to the word "sauna".

Hotel is located right next to the marketplace right in the middle of the city. Everything in Kuopio is within a walking distance from the hotel. Rooms are a bit worn, but very tidy and beds were good. Internet connection was ok, but the TV did not have Chromecast option. On the breakfast there were a lot of vegan options which was really nice. Will definitely come back.

A centrally located hotel, surrounded by many restaurants and shopping centers. The hotel is a Scandic hotel, so the standard is about the same as all other Scandics, however, they have a restaurant on the ground floor that served very good food. If you want to eat somewhere else, there is a wide range of restaurants around the corner. If you want to shop, there is a shopping centre, wall to wall with the hotel, you can reach it without having to go out.. The hotel's rooms are clean and reasonably sized with all the amenities you need. The breakfast is standard with a small "+". I think everyone will be satisfied with that breakfast.. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and check-in went smoothly. The hotel also has a sauna, unfortunately I only stayed one night, so can't say anything about it.... but must be good as we are in the homeland of all saunas... Regardless if you travel by air/buss/car, I think this is a god hotel to discover Kuopio and the sourroundings

The hotel has a central location in Kuipio and the best thing about the room was how comfortable the bed was. Dinner in the restaurant was satisfying. A good breakfast, better value for money than dinner..

A good option at Kuopio centrum. Centrally located but some rooms quiet also. Nice and cozy rooms, proper breakfast. Everything went and worked as easy as it should in Finland :) Easy living with reasonable prices. Some rooms have also an own sauna...

Temperature was 23 degrees in the room and it felt stuffy. Mind you it's Kuopio in the middle of winter and we're supposed to be experiencing an energy crisis at the moment so the temperatures should be even lower than the normal ~21 degrees. In the hotel there are posters that say "one degree lower" (see picture). The corridors felt equally warm. The receptionist came to check on the air conditioning which didnt help and brought a (smelly) fan. There are other reviews of hot rooms on this web site. They should really do something about this issue!! Otherwise the hotel is ok, a little outdated but the staff is nice and the breakfast was good.
