My clients stay at Valampuri Hotel in Jaffna was extremely disappointing. The hotel was shockingly dirty and clearly not well-maintained. The cleanliness standards were well below acceptable levels, with unkempt rooms and common areas. Additionally, the service was abysmal. Staff members were inattentive and unhelpful, showing a lack of professionalism and courtesy. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay in Jaffna. It was a regrettable experience that left me feeling thoroughly dissatisfied. The lack of cleanliness was not confined to our room; it was evident throughout the hotel premises. Common areas were unkempt, and cleanliness standards were well below acceptable levels. This was deeply concerning and not in line with the standards one would expect from a reputable hotel. Furthermore, the service we received was disappointing. Staff members appeared inattentive and unhelpful, lacking the professionalism and courtesy expected in the hospitality industry. Their demeanor only added to our dissatisfaction with our overall experience at Valampuri Hotel. As a result of these issues, I regret to inform you that I cannot in good conscience recommend your hotel to anyone considering a stay in Jaffna. It is imperative that immediate action is taken to address the cleanliness issues and improve the quality of service provided to guests. I urge you to take this feedback seriously and implement measures to rectify the shortcomings we experienced during our stay. Your prompt attention to these matters would be greatly appreciated and may help prevent similar negative experiences for future guests.

9.66467°, 80.02149° very close the Jaffna train station, guests are woken early in the morning by the noise of trains. This multi-storey, multi-wing hotel tries to be a luxury hotel. In March 2024, room 361 (3F) with balcony was not cleaned properly. Due to the 2019 bombing and COVID-19 lockdown, investment in maintenance is clearly overdue. The air conditioner made a rattling noise. The ceiling fan allowed us to sleep on a comfortable double bed. The hot shower was good. The minibar was stocked with beer. Wi-Fi-reception was good. The hotel has a swimming pool, buffet restaurant and outside terrace. Breakfast of Sri Lankan and continental items was good. Laundry service was available. The Valampuri hotel offered a basic sleeping experience.

This hotel wasagood surprise -good alround not surprising there is a need a demand . So the green grass Hotel owner has known business Congrates World over the north rules the south Jaffna Tamils are all over the world. Jaffna is the Scotland of Sri Lanka. So it warm stay good food Breakfast spread excellent That crab curry for lunch or dinner cannot be missed

Excellent stay, relaxing, refreshing, revolutionary. Loved every minute of it. I arrived last minute and was given a very nice balcony room. Clean and presentable. Guards and dogs at the gates, felt very safe during the stay. Beautiful comfy chairs in the lobby with mystical music. Excellent service and attention to detail. Reasonably priced; I would stay again. One improvement can be making sure all litter is cleared and touching up on cleaning. Otherwise a very good hotel, you will be pleased with your stay.

Terrible, best avoided. Dirty, poorly maintained, and uncomfortable property. Too expensive for the level of available facilities and services. Untrained staff mostly speak only in Tamil. They seem to avoid guests who do not look local. Poor quality of service and the restaurant is even worse

Visited on a business visit to Jaffna and stayed two nights at the Valampuri hotel. Excellent hotel with very client friendly staff members. Breakfast was also good with all traditional Jaffna food. We ordered dinner from room service one night and it was delicious. Rooms were nice and clean will all facilities . The hotel is adjoining the railway station. Drivers quarters are available with food. Recommend to any one who os traveling to Jaffna.

Thank you valumpuri hotel staff team for your good services. we enjoyed our stay for 5 nights with no issues and great value for money rooms. the rooms had all that we needed hot water, ac, good indian restaurant downstairs and were reasonably clean. we will come again.

Receptionist Dilakshi & Robina were very welcoming with a smiling face. At the dining Shalini, Kamalininand Kaarthiha were very helpful and once again with a very warm smiling face entertained us. We enjoyed the stay and definitely will recommend and visit again :-)

Great hotel for very reasonable price . Exceptional breakfast sri lankan as well as western style. Food in the evening also top notch. Altogether great place. Swimming pool had a bit high Chlorine level but that is normal for hotel with high occupancy. Good choice for a stay in Jaffna.
