There are not enough superlatives to describe our recent stay at West Baden Springs Resort, April 6-9. 2024. Like so many others from all over the country, we wanted to experience the solar eclipse in the most memorable way possible. And we did, thanks to the outstanding management and staff at West Baden. To a person, everyone my travel companion and I engaged was personable, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. People like Heather and Amanda in Sinclair’s, Melinda in Ballard’s, Jonathan in Ballard’s who went above and beyond the call of duty to insure us a seat on a very busy evening in the Atrium, Jesse on your valet staff, and Sara, housekeeping supervisor. There were so many others and I apologize for not remembering all their names. I also want to express our appreciation and enjoyment of the live music in the Atrium during our stay. It was a trio of superb musicians playing popular songs. I don’t know if the trio had a name, but they provided soothing and beautiful music. Artistically, they were fabulous. Yes, the setting both inside and outside the resort is impressive, but the people whom we met every day and who made our stay so enjoyable are what we cherish the most. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave! If I were given the choice of a week’s stay in Cancun or a week’s stay at West Baden Springs resort in French Lick, Indiana, I would pick West Baden Springs. Don’t bother to flip the coin! We look forward to a return trip as soon as possible. P.S. The only thing that would have made our trip better, if that were even possible, would be golf at the Pete Dye and/or the Donald Ross golf courses. Perhaps next time! P.S.S. You might want to consider either adding an additional grab bar in the bathtub/shower, or better yet, convert to a walk-in shower/bath. Otherwise the room, a king suite, was impeccable.
