Emerald Explorers Inn

On arrival, we noted the well-manicured lawns and gardens with a clean swimming pool that looked inviting. We had a standard room that had comfortable beds however, the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom with taps that were difficult to turn off. The bathroom was cramped and the shower rose wouldn't stay up. The television was old style and wouldn't receive HD channels. Although we booked for three, there were only sufficient cups etc for two. A bit disappointing given the attractive exterior of the place. A free breakfast was appreciated with cereal, juice/tea/coffee on offer as well as toast and bacon and eggs. It was also good to have under cover parking.

Seasoned business traveller, wasn't told the restaurant was closed on site, no breakfast available and the money was taken from the company credit card before I arrived on site for the 3 nights.. guessing new owners or new management, never used to be like that when I'd stayed there before.. if it wasn't already paid for, would have gladly left, will never return

The attitude and rudeness of the reception lady was terrible . Carpet looks likes it’s never been cleaned - stains everywhere AC didn’t work and was filthy TV didn’t work Bed was also quite disgusting. I left early it was so bad and the receptionist still charged me. $220 per night is an absolute rip off. Don’t stay there - would have been better sleeping in my car.

Owner needs to rethink the way he deals with people and runs a business! His customer service was already severely lacking when I got there, incredibly rude, unapproachable and spoke in a contemptuous tone which then turned nasty and aggressive with him standing over me yelling and swearing at me to "GET THE F@€K OFF MY PROPERTY!" Arrogant prick has absolutely no idea how to even talk people! No wonder the place is virtually empty! There aren't many people that I wish negativity towards in this world, but this w@nker now tops the list! Other than that ****head, staff were very nice/friendly and accommodation was adequate.

There was some sort of motor going all night - possibly on adjacent property or maybe refrigeration unit on a truck. Toilet was constantly running.

Really nice place and easy to get to. Good service and the room had everything we needed. Thank you.

Out of town but close to the airport. Undercover parking available, and onsite restaurant is good for breakfast and dinner. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable with all the amenities required. Not necessarily the most cost effective stay, and not too busy.

We stayed here one night. I booked here knowing it had a restaurant, which would've been nice after being in the road for none hours. Unfortunately for us the restaurant was closed as it was a public holiday. I wasn't told this at check-in, only when I inquired. We found the room to be very dated and the bed uncomfortable as we could feel the springs when we laid down. The pool was very good and the perfect temp for a hot summer day.

We stayed at the Explorer on our relocation journey north with our dog. The owners were accomodating and friendly. Unfortunatately the restaurant was closed on our first night but we understand staffing issues at this time. The meal on our second night was great though-lovely steaks! The pool was very nice and room comfortable although it would have been nice to be in the pleasant courtyard area. If refurbishing rooms in the future I would suggest handbasin be located in the bathroom and not bedroom. All small issues and overall a lovely stay.
