I regularly stay at this hotel when in town and am a Double Tree member. This last time, I awoke to find my shower did not work. After speaking with front desk, I had to dress, go to desk, get key for another room nearby, use that room's shower. Upon check out, I shared my disappointment and was offered a food/beverage credit that I did not need. I was disappointed I had to express my concern in order to be offered this compensation. While I did not feel this was sufficient for the inconvenience caused, I knew the front desk may not be able to do more. I called the manager two days later and was offered the same credit for a future stay. As I expressed to the manager, I am certainly not sure I will stay there again despite having a small food/bev. credit available and am not willing to recommend the hotel to others due to how this was handled. I certainly felt that having been given a room that was not functional (and wondering how they were not aware of this issue from previous guests/housekeeping) would have led to a greater compensation/response. I would advise others to consider experience this in their choice of this hotel.
