The Palms Dubbo

Don’t do it ! Do not part with your credit card details, this place will hold you hostage with your credit card details and constant threats of extra charges / breaches. He quotes breaches of laws ( that don’t even exist in legislation) , he is harassing with constant text messages. Completely invasive stay with Garbage bins in the room gone through on a daily basis! Creepy. Something severely wrong on so many levels. And he gets you to sign a ‘waiver’ of any normal rights you have. Once again I’m sure it’s from his own law book. Horrendous experience Doesn’t even deserve the 1 star ! Never ever again

After looking at the website it looked like a nice place. i’ll start with the pros of the motel. the location was good very central to get around. the bed was comfortable and pillows as well. the bathroom was updated and had good water pressure. now the cons 1)there was no bbq area like it states on the website. all u had was a old microwave and toaster. and a jug. 2)the netflix and wifi didn’t work. so another false statement on the website. 3)there was no rail to help u in and out of the pool. even though it was nice to have a swim and refresh. 4) they would turn the ac off while u we’re out on 38-40 degree day. 5) even though the man was nice after hearing him talk to a couple of ladies about cooking outside there room on a electric grill. we weren’t game enough to go and question about the netflix or wifi. we heard other ppl complain about it and the man said there nothing he can do about it. 6) there was a truck parked in the exit lane of the building as there were quite a few cars there it was a fire hazard letting him park there. then a 4wd drive parks behind the truck. i find this very unacceptable because there was kids staying there as well. heaven forbid if something bad happened and we had to evacuate and couldn’t because of the truck parking there. but these ladies get a talking to about cooking out front of there room we didn’t mind the smell just wish they made extra hahahaha. do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.

The motel carpark was easy to navigate, check in was smooth. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and immaculate and the spa bath was phenomenal! I would definitely stay again!

The accommodation is of a poor standard, rooms with very dated old furniture and poor security. We got given sour milk by the temporary reception and that should have been warning enough, the room service is awful with inedible food, and zero interest in customer service and guests. The place is noisy, unwelcoming and something left over from the 1960s or 1970s getting people to stay there because it is in contrast cheaper than other motels in Dubbo or people are desperate to find accommodation in Dubbo. On a positive note they love to charge for anything and everything.

The bed was comfortable, good shower, room spacious, good a/c. Temperature hot when I arrived. A/c soon cooled room down. Marco, manager was very accommodating, and pleasant. I will return. He supports local industry by giving small bottles of the Big Little milk Co out for tea and coffee, impressive that he supports such a progressive small Dubbo industry. Those that have written bad reviews should not be believed. I had no problems with the stay or payment. It was as I expected. I got good value. I wonder about these complaining people!

Excellent and helpful host (Marco). Good location near town centre. Enough parking spaces. Rooms in very good condition and comfortable beds. Good value for money. This is my second time to stay here and I would certainly come again

Booked then on my way up ,they sent me a sms saying they have cancelled my booking, then they rang me in the car appolagising then an hour later the sent me another sms threatening to cancel my booking within one hour if I didn't register my cretid card on a link. Responded to them cancel my booking I can't work like that. WOW... these people have issues.

Such a refreshing change from the dingy old run-down motel rooms with dirty amenities, nasty old beds and tiny little cheap TV's with busted up remotes! A beautifully renovated bathroom and HUGE TV! At a great price.

We enjoyed our stay at the palms, the service from the owner and staff was friendly and professional. The room was fantastic for the excellent value. I don’t typically feel completely comfortable in motels, so the experience at the palms was surprising. Everything was spotless, the room was really warm when we arrived for our late check in, (we assume staff ran the heating in preparation for our arrival, so big thank you to the staff who seemed to have gone above and beyond to make our stay as “homey” and comfortable as possible). The location is second to none, our trip was for leisure and we found ourselves no more than a few minutes drive from any place we were going. There are plenty of options for meals at any time of the day, all within walking distance. Or you can just put your feet up and order from the room service breakfast menu. I can’t thank everyone from the palms enough for our wonderful experience.
