Royal Golf Hotel

4 days of golf, close to several fantastic courses. Superb apartments, clean, fully equipped, nicely decorated. Plenty of room for two couples. Definitely stay again next year!

This hotel is with the same group as the Tongue Hotel where we stayed the night before. It is comfortable and welcoming. We has a nice room overlooking the golf course and sea beyond. Large bar with comfortable seating. Good food in the bright dining room. The portions are big!! Friendly and helpful staff.

Short Break and selected the 'Morris suite' spotless and comfortable. panoramic view over the famous Royal Dornoch Golf Course, Beach and the Dornoch Firth. The dining room is bright with similar views and the meals were made from local produce and it showed in the taste. Lounge had a roaring fire to enjoy a refreshment chosen from a wide range thats available Staff were top notch balancing attentive without being in your face. Special call out to Sue in reception who sorted out our own self inflicted gift voucher issue. Private car park Dornoch village worth a visit and the beach is a nice walk there in a round about way and well worth doing

Loved the restaurant in this fab hotel. Great views, but also top notch breakfast. Best we have had for a while. Lovely bar area, although listening to the chefs post service discussing all the days business was a bit uncomfortable. Appreciate they need a pint to unwind after a busy night but unsure as to whether that should be in the company of guests enjoying a post meal drink. Premium hotel, so maybe not? Room was spacious, bathroom spotless and spacious.

Discovering Dornoch with a stay at The Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch. Wonderful friendly greeting on entering the hotel which never wavered during our two night stay. The cosy fire in reception really made our day. Rooms were spotless and charming with everything you need during your stay. Splendid breakfast in a bright and spacious dining area with the most wonderful views. Dinner delicious with a good selection on the menu. After dinner drinks in the cosy bar finished the evening off splendidly. This hotel embraces you and creates a homely friendly atmosphere. Staff could not have been more helpful and efficient. I cannot wait to go back one day to enjoy this hotel.

My husband and I had been enjoying weekly Sunday lunches at the Royal Golf, until I had to cancel, reason being my husband’s sudden illness. Just afterwards, reception at the Royal Golf rang, offering to deliver our Sunday lunch to our home. When I explained my husband was in hospital, they asked to let them know when he came home so meals could be delivered to our home. My husband is still in hospital but I didn’t want this act of great kindness to pass unacknowledged. So thank you to all the staff, not only for your excellent food and service, but the extras you can’t put a price on.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful three night stay from checking in through to checking out. Every member of staff we met was welcoming, professional and friendly, with our accommodation spotless, warm and spacious. Our breakfasts each morning were delicious, made to order and accompanied by a full range of juices, cereals etc from a Continental buffet. Highly recommended for golfing, a base for visiting local attractions or a relaxing break.
