Digby Pines is beautiful, vintage resort, grandly designed inside and out, on a hill overlooking the Annapolis Basin. They have an amazing outdoor heated pool, which we enjoyed even on a crisp fall day. The pool is 72 ft. long. Quite unique and very enjoyable. The expansive grounds are landscaped in a traditional green lawn and with steps leading down to the spa and pool. the main hotel is beautiful. We love this property and enjoyed our stay here very much. There were only a couple of cautionary notes; the rooms are badly in need of renovation. Our bathroom was very dated. The carpet in the room is wrinkled and stained. However, there are heat pumps in the rooms now that seem very efficient and quiet. the bed and linens were very comfortable. The hallways are bright and cheery and not at all gloomy for such an old hotel. I believe the new owners are gradually making updates and changes and I hope they will be vigilant about repairs to the stucco outside. Our only real disappointment was our meal in the dining room. The quality of the meal was not up to last year's excellent plates. We ordered the Digby scallops and could not believe that they came in a tiny bit of sauce with the smallest portion of potato and carrot that I've ever seen. I can no longer recommend Churchill's as a premier dining experience. it was mediocre, at best. However, there are plenty of places to enjoy the local scallops in the town of Digby, that are a better bargain
