The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. My special thanks to Eileen, she was so warm and professional. She treated my friends and family with great kindness .in addition the restaurant staff was also very friendly . A special thanks to Jerad ( manager) and his wife Deanasia ( restaurant bar tender & server) . They both worked extremely hard during a busy weekend, while maintaining professionalism Excellent service !! Nice hotel , beautiful roof top dining .

Great HOSPITALITY across the board! Such lovely people. Hotel itself is dated, but very kept up. Rooftop restaurant has great views, downtown Dayton is very pretty. Got to watch a concert from our window. Only stayed one night, passing through. Reasonable price.

The newly named (but not renovated) Radisson lives and dies by the Convention Center. Their proximity is the only reason to stay here. Everything looks and feels shabby. Remarkably, there is no breakfast or lunch served, and there are no dinners served unless a major convention is in town. You have to use the Convention Center parking garage and get your ticket validated every time you want to use your car. But its cheap and the shower water is hot. The staff is very nice and professional, and apologize profusely for the conditions of the place.

This is now a reflagged Radisson Hotel now but recently was known as the Crowne Plaza and was likely something else before that. The hotel is connected by skyway to both an easy parking ramp and the Convention Center. If you are coming here for a convention, this would be an acceptable place to stay if you are willing to live with a lot of shortcomings. If you are here for any other reason, it might be best to go to a newer nicer hotel. The hotel is made in a unique double rectangle that is off set so there are lots of corner rooms and in our stay we got a pretty good room on the top floor in a corner unit so the view was great. The room was a little larger than I was expecting and the view was indeed excellent. However, the hotel is likely a Radisson now because the quality had degraded enough that it may have lost its Crowne Plaza flag. The hotel badly needs a renovation. They haven't even covered/replaced all the things that still say Crowne Plaza and it appears as if the new owners/managers don't care about that. While the sleeping room is more spacious, the bathroom was not. It was small and cramped yet functional. The toilet didnt quite flush all the way and the shower worked well enough for a hot shower with a somewhat weaker flow than most hotels have. The furnishings were a bit dated and worn as was the carpet. The beds were quite firm and need replacing. The WiFi worked well and there were plenty of outlets to recharge everything. The room temperature was controlled at the actual unit and not the wall controller (which appeared to be powered off). Parking is free but it is at a ramp across the street and you have to walk across a skyway to get into the hotel. Which brings me to the most significant concern with this property....its location. I'm sure back in the day, this hotel was a great place and much of downtown was busy, bustling and thriving. But those days were apparently long ago. This part of downtown hasn't had the same renaissance that many downtowns have had. Directly across the street from the hotel are several large vacant buildings where nothing is being done to renovate them. So while there is a great view of downtown from the upper floors most of what you see are empty vacant old buildings. If the downtown ever comes back, this would be a great place to stay but for now it is a somewhat acceptable choice if you have a convention next door. There is no daily housekeeping (unless you ask ahead of time) and there doesn't appear to be many places nearby to safely go to eat if you have to walk.

First off the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had issues with our Airbnb and the staff here was tremendous at getting us accommodated. Clean rooms, bathrooms a little out dated but very tidy. There is a park right next door with live music. Great Visit

We were there with a large group so we made our reservation the December before the Army reunion. We got a room the had a bathroom door that wouldn’t close bc the toilet blocked it. Someone had cut a chunk out of the door trying to allow the door to close. If you pulled or pushed it hard enough it finally closed. However, it blocked access to the shower. This was very dangerous. And the bathtub was very slippery. Also very dangerous. Plus, the door made it difficult to get on and off the potty. And the sink didn’t drain right bc the stopper was not high enough out of the drain. There was no housekeeping so if you needed more towels or coffee or anything, you had to go down to the desk and wait for someone to help you. The elevators were very slow if they worked at all. The parking was across the street in a garage and the hotel validated your parking ticket. It didn’t seem like a very nice part of town. The drive into the hotel where you leave your car to check in was crowded, small and claustrophobic. And I guess bc we were such a large group, there were no carts for loading and unloading luggage. But the people who worked there were all wonderful. The meals provided by the roof top restaurant were excellent.

We stayed here because we had a huge gymnastics meet running Thursday - Sunday. We arrived Thursday evening. The convenience shop (with snacks and drinks) was pretty empty (out of most items), our room was very small (NYC small) and dated, and the restaurant/bar closed at 9pm, but it was right next to the meet so “oh well,” we thought. After getting little rest (we were quite cold and the thin sheet/blanket weren’t helping), I looked forward to a nice breakfast. However, the hotel restaurant isn’t open for breakfast. But there’s a continental breakfast. It consisted almost exclusively of muffins and sliced bread. There was a little melon fruit salad. There were no bananas, apples, granola bars, boxes of cereal, yogurt, croissants, bagels, eggs, oatmeal etc. I asked if there was somewhere nearby but there apparently aren’t nearby options, other than McDonalds. I checked the convenience store - they were now almost completely cleared out, so we could not purchase something there either. This is a convention hotel but completely ill-equipped to handle the needs of guests. The hotel was fully booked but the (friendly enough) front desk disclosed that their inventory of food for breakfast and the convenience store was cleared out. They hoped to get more in the next day or so…??? I wasn’t happy that we now had to add an emergency trip to McDonalds before my sons had to compete in a big gymnastics meet at 8am. Luckily we were up early and had a little time to do it. I also worried about all the other competitors who maybe wouldn’t have time to make that trip before needing to be at the meet at 8am. We cut our reservations short to stay elsewhere more comfortable, less expensive, way nicer, and with a full complimentary breakfast! It’s not worth staying here to save yourself a ten minute drive to the convention center. Do yourself a favor, stay elsewhere. I do note that the staff were nice enough.

*The ONLY reason I'm giving this hotel 2 stars is because of the staff. If it were not for their outstanding and professional service, I would give this hotel a solid 1/2 star. Checked-in: June 21 @ 3:20 pm Checked out: June 23 11am Double queen room. My family had a mini family reunion/surprise 80th birthday party in Dayton, Ohio. This hotel was chosen because of the spectacular view from their roof-top banquet room, proximity to Oregon district and accessibility to the interstate. All of these things turned out to be perfect. The hotel itself turns out to be less than ideal. I understand that there is a shortage of staff in the hospitality industry but I was still disappointed because our rooms weren't ready after 3PM. After traveling on the road for 4 hours, I was ready to settle in before meeting my family. The staff were very nice and provided us coupons for free appetizers at a local restaurant (Dublin Pub - great food, great service). So, off to early dinner. They did not offer to store our luggage, so we were forced to leave it in the car until we returned. Consequently, we did not check into the room until approximately 4:30 pm. As soon as we reached the rooms (mother and sister were in one room- other sister and I in another), dundundundunnnnn - the keys did not work. Big Sis and I went back to the lobby to have the cards re-keyed. Simultaneously, they also sent a maintenance worker up to let my Mom in her room. While down there, I realized that the policy is "NO housekeeping during your stay, unless you request so 24 hours before needed." That meant no new towels, tissue, etc for our 2-day stay. So we grabbed 2 sets of extra towels for each room and went back up. Like I said, great service. Not-so-great hotel. It's COVID y'all! At first glance all seemed very clean. But then she saw it... my sister said "UGH. The tub is dirty. It literally has a ring around it" This time I opted to call down to the desk. As we were going out anyway, we agreed to let housekeeping come in and clean while we were gone. The lady at the desk was very apologetic and they did clean it. When we returned to the room, I was exhausted. My sister was exhausted. She went in the restroom and I heard a "WHAT is THAT!!" A nice, plump roach! Thankfully, we had not put our luggage on the floor. Down to the lobby again. Told the front desk, she was as horrified. The manager came and apologized profusely. She offered to change our rooms but to a different floor. We needed to stay close to our Mom, so we opted to stay. But did she offer to have someone come spray or inspect? No. We made the suggestion and then she said, "Oh! Of course we could have someone do that for you." They did come and spray. That was it. I was beyond exhausted and couldn't even think about taking a shower. I washed up and went to bed. My poor sister dreamed about roaches. You'd think this would be the end of this woeful hotel tale. Alas, you would be remiss. The next morning, we got up to shower. I

Stayed on a Friday/Saturday night. The rooms were clean, but outdated. Bathroom in our room was very small. Pool was not usable when we visited, and the restaurant and lounge had limited hours. Hotel staff was excellent though. Helpful and welcoming. Hope they put a little love into the hotel because the bones are there, but it needs some attention.
