The front desk rep was very professional and nice. The room was clean but it has a funny odor, like vomit. The bed and pillows were comfortable to me, but my husband thought the mattress was too hard. Towels, bathroom, shower & shower curtain were clean. Water flow was great and no problems with drainage.

Staff were excellent and so was the service. Unfortunately there was a youth group staying at the same time and children were running in the halls until 11PM.

Staff was very pleasant. After a long day on the road, I didn't really appreciate being given keys to a room that didn't work. The front desk clerk cut new keys and directed us to a different room. Oops! He goofed.
Breakfast was wonderful and the woman staffing it was both pleasant and efficient.

Hampton Inn is normally my go-to hotel as it is always clean, comfortable and the staff pleasant. This was the first time I was ever disappointed in a Hampton Inn stay. When I checked in on the afternoon of 9/14, I was immediately hit with just how unprofessional the staff was. They were all sitting in the lounge area, some with their shoes off and feet up, watching TV. As I went in and out throughout the evening, that did not change and as I passed employees they smelled very strongly of ********* (Which is not legal recreationally on OH). Beyond the staff, the front doors to the lobby are cracked with packaging tape over the cracks that looks to have been that way for a while. My room was not thoroughly cleaned, with a dirty toilet, hair in the shower and even a wad of toilet paper sticking out of the peep hole on the door. The linens on the bed were clean, but very stiff and scratchy. We did not sleep well at all during our stay. I did not bring any concerns up to the staff since they seemed so unprofessional I was not comfortable bringing up any issues I had with them. I think I may have to go with a different hotel for my next trip.

I had read that Dayton had good, unique pizza places and asked the front desk staff if there was a local pizza place close. Marion's was right behind the hotel and it was sooo yummy. Great suggestion. There were a lot of restaurants very close to this hotel. Great location!
