Unit was full of midgees and standard of cleaning

Run down but clean. Certainly not worth the price charged

Very accommodating. We booked last minute due to the Queensland floods and needed emergency accommodation for the night due to road closures, we booked 2 nights just incase then couldnt make it back to Bowen due to road closures, however the property manager/owner was very understanding and allowed us to cancel the 2nd night without any charge. Which we really did appreciate due to the unique situation. Very clean and tidy which great cooking facilities. Thank you.

Close to beach and park. In need of an update. Bins were extremely smelly. Our fully paid Studio room was given away to “walk in” couple moments before our arrival. Very expensive, absolutely no value for the money.

Fully self-contained with everything that we needed. The kids loved the pool, and the beach was lovely to walk along in the morning. We were only passing through quickly, but this was a great place to stop and rest.

Amenities were adequate for our needs. Unit was quite comfortable and tidy. Straight across the road from the park and beach. Only thing I didn't like is the fact that my vehicle is 2.2m high and so I could not park in reserved spot.

The lady who managers the hotel is lovely and always a pleasure to talk to. Nice room and quite but the bed is so hard and uncomfortable, also that itchy blanket is Definitely a downer.

Very lucky to get upgraded from studio room. Great staff. Quite cold at night so asked for extra blanket. Very convenient.

We stayed here for 2 nights, arriving on a Sunday so all very quiet. When we arrived there was no-one in the office but we were able to get someone on the phone who let us know the keys were in the room waiting for us. We had upgraded our original booking to be a two bed unit. The units are all up stairs so we were glad ours was located on the first level so only had to go up one flight of stairs. The unit itself had everything you needed and was spotlessly clean. There are laundry facilities downstairs at the back of the parking spaces and a swimming pool was available for use (too cold for us when we were there unfortunately). The decor of the unit was quite eclectic which made it quite interesting. The kitchen is well equipped with a good size fridge. The bed was reasonably comfortable but low down. The bathroom was a bit on the small size and the shower was open at the front but a good size to avoid water going everywhere. One negative we found was that We could hear our neighbours above us walking around - sounded like a herd of elephants! The location is excellent being on Blacks Beach so you're walking distance to the water and other beaches close by. The views nearby are amazing. The shops are not far away either with Woolworths being about a 5 minute drive away (just don't go on a Sunday - it was shut). Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would stay here again.
