Broadhaven Bay Hotel

There was a party going in the room directly across from ours with people coming and going from 2am to 8am. We contacted reception and still it went on. Brought it to the attention to the person on Reception the following morning and were told "someone" would be in contact with us during the day. No contact from anyone when we checked out the following morning and brought the matter up again we were told our names are on a "list" of people to be contacted about the matter. I rang them myself about a week later no answer i had to leave a voice mail, no response to that so i sent an e-mail surprise surprise no response to that either so i sent a letter to the hotel. About two weeks later i got an email with an apology and a voucher for a 1 night stay which i refused as its a 3 hour 45 minute drive from where i live. I got no reply to that e mail which was 5 days ago.

Stayed at the hotel have never felt as welcome and comfortable than we felt by Caroline behind the bar she made sure all our needs were addressed and attended to. She even advised on local attractions to see. Caroline is probably one of the most attractive bar staff I have ever met

Travelled here Monday to Thursday during the 2 week school break. Pool closed for renovation and this wasn't the case at time of booking and we were not told this before arrival. No bar or restaurant, everything closed. They only tried to contact me the evening before arrival and I'd had this trip planned for months. Distracted Reception staff, seemed totally disengaged and bored. The lady didn't care that we were disappointed. Crushed pringles and crisps in bedroom carpet...everything else clean but I doubt the room was hoovered. No pressure in the shower. For the 1st week of the Easter break, the facilities and atmosphere here were awful. Tired, old, shabby decor. I don't care about decor if a place is clean with a lovely atmosphere but it becomes a big issue when everything else is lacking. I get the impression that they get their main income from weddings and they don't care about other customers. This could be a lovely spot and I would write more about all the little extras they could offer to make this a decent stay but I don't think they are interested in my feedback. I tried to contact them directly about this over a week ago with no response so...a negativeTripAdvisor review it is! :0(

We visit Broadhaven every Easter for Sunday lunch whilst visiting family and the service and food, get better each time. The staff are always really helpful especially Josephine who ensured we had a great experience. The food was beautiful and the atmosphere in the hotel and restaurant is really welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Well where do I start. Excellent service service from start to finish. Staff were professional . Jayne and caroline stood out. Receptionist stood out. Food was out out of this world. Also security staff were most polite and and helpful .overall wonderful stay

From the moment we entered the hotel we experienced nothing but friendliness, kindness, and “a nothing is too much to ask” attitude. Food was exceptional, bedrooms very warm and cosy. I would highly recommend this hotel

We stayed for 3 nights, Sunday to Wednesday and couldn't fault it. We booked again for the Easter break 2024. Location was good and so were the views. All staff were so friendly especially the breakfast staff, as it costs nothing to be pleasant but they make you feel welcome. Breakfast itself was excellent and had dinner twice in the restaurant and it was good sized portions, well presented and tasted lovely. What more can I say. We went to Downpatrick head and Blacksod light house and the stone rings at An Fál Mór which were nearby. Also did Erris Head loop walk. We also tried the tidal pool which is behind the hotel and was great craic. Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the town and plenty of bars to try. Loved the Corner House bar with lovely big open fire. All in all cant wait to go back.

This is a very nicely finished finished hotel with clean and plain, yet not characterless, bedrooms. The shower hat good heat and a reasonable flow. The location is a big plus - just outside town with commanding views of the water, but only a short walk to bars etc. Check in was quick and we enjoyed a good buffet breakfast including fruit, cereals, toast, yoghurts and a selection of cooked food. Coffee was excellent. Overall we felt it provided good value for money.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, I think it was the night that was in it, it was a bit crazy as there was a wedding and a 30th with a lot of drunk people in the hotel. The staff were so friendly and the food in the restaurant was totally outstanding. The hotels needs a modern update but they have plenty going for it.
