The Belmar Inn

The staff was amazing and helpful. The property is run down, needs drastic repairs. The rooms are large but smell musty even with the window a/c on. The bathroom is small with a small pedestal sink and tiny shower that doesn’t seem clean. The walls look like there have been numerous leaks that haven’t been to fixed correctly for a long time. Overall, a disappointment and won’t return.

The location is perfect, half a block to the Ocean with many options to eat in walking distance. Slightly discouraged by housekeeping missing our room yet they were kind and apologetic. Nothing fancy yet fine for a few days and offered that quaint, on the Shore kinda feel. No elevator so be prepared!

The hotel room was not clean and the room was falling apart. We ended up leaving and booking at another hotel.

Great front desk service. Very convenient location and best of all, free bagels and donuts in the morning!

Hotel was perfect for what we needed! Small but comfortable. Everything seemed fresh and recently refurbished! Only downside was the air-conditioner was too small for the room. During the day we couldn’t cool the room down to a comfortable temp but was decent at night when it cooled down.

We stay here all the time and love it! Nothing fancy, but it’s cozy, clean, affordable and a short walk to the beach! We love it every time.

Warning this place is so unprofessional and disgusting. Upon arrival they demanded a $175 deposit even though the room was booked and paid for in advance on a 3rd party travel site. When I told him that I did not have $175 as I was unprepared for that expense he replied with “how much you got?”. In the end they kept $125 for a deep cleaning fee for cat hair left on a blue blanket (this must have transferred from my daughters blanket she brought in from home). Management has not returned my multiple calls to them regarding this issue they will only respond through the ********* working the front desk. The property itself is disgusting. They did not provide towels, soap, shampoo…nothing. I had to go down and ask for towels. The stairs are unsafe for even a young healthy individual. My daughter woke up with a large insect bite. I paid to sleep and shower in absolute filth and they are charging me for cat hair left on a blanket. I also believe they have families with young children who live there and play outside out front all day. The vending machine out front offered water/soda for $5 each. This stay ruined our annual trip to the beach.
