I am writing this review to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the state of the hotel room that I was provided with. As a paying guest, I expected a certain level of cleanliness and hygiene, which unfortunately was not met. Upon entering the room, I noticed several hairs along with smudges of makeup on the bedding. It was immediately evident that the room had not been cleaned thoroughly, if at all, before my arrival. The overall condition of the room was unacceptable and made me feel highly uncomfortable and disappointed. I immediately reported the matter to the front desk lady and they sent someone to replace the bedding and pillowcases. I also requested to be transferred to a different room and I even showed her the photos (cobwebs, clumps of hair, accumulated dirt, etc) of the room for her to understand my frustration but she reasoned out that the hotel is fully booked and there were no other rooms available for me to transfer to. She then told me "feedback-kan lang namon sir ang housekeeping (We'll just provide your feedback to the housekeeping department)". I left the hotel to attend a meeting and when I arrived back in the hotel room, it was exactly in the same state as when I left. I completely understand that the hotel is already aged but poor hygiene is never and will never be an excuse. (Please see attached photo for your reference.) As a result of my experience, I have no choice but to report this incident to the city health office. It is unacceptable that a hotel could allow such poor hygiene conditions to exist, and I believe that it is necessary for the appropriate authorities to investigate any possible violation of the sanitation code of the Philippines. The health and well-being of your guests should be a top priority, and it is unacceptable that these basic standards were not met by your hotel.
