Harbourside Motel

Instructions to access key to room was good and simple. Disappointed that there was no reception staff on site during our 4 night stay. Carpet required vacuuming and grout in shower recess needed cleaning. Was hoping that the room was serviced - clearly not.

This hotel was very comfortable and extremely clean. I had everything i needed. My only issue was the bathroom exhaust fan stayed on all night. However i was able to close the door and it didnt bother me. It would be nice to see some outdoor areas for enjoying the fresh air

This was conveniently located and very clean. The property suited our needs perfectly.

Nice, clean and very convenient to our families in Albany. The rooms was sufficient for the two of us and we made use of the fridge, microwave and kitchen utensils to have breakfast and some dinners. Free Wi-Fi was great and good TV made it enjoyable. Pleasant view from the room over the lawn gave a peaceful outlook. We'd sure stay there again.

It was only a short overnight stay but the unit was very clean and comfortable. It was also situated coveniently to Albany without being right in the centre.

Well priced. Very clean and modern intervior. Unit 5 is designed for wheelchair access with a suitable bathroom. New owners are now managing the property. There are six units plus an office/laundry. Next to Frenchys Restaurant which I did not visit. Motel is about 10 mins drive from the bottom of Yorke Street towards Frenchmans Bay. Even though it is advertised as a motel, staff are not in the office. This is not a motel but self-contained units. I only saw a staff member when I paid in advance when I arrived. The units are on a large piece of land without a surrounding fence. Fortunately, a few other guests stayed there otherwise it would have been quite unsettling. I didn't feel safe there. No supermarkets or cafes are nearby except Frenchys which doesn't open for breakfast. Be prepared to bring your own toiletries/hairdryer/food. The rooms are not serviced. The worst thing was the NOISE. I bought earplugs so I could get some sleep the second night. The traffic going past doesn't slow down until after 8pm and starts again before 5am. Terrible. The only way to drown out the traffic noise is to either have the TV or airconditioner on to muffle the sound outside. Would I stay here again - no.

The location is excellent though the driveway entrance is easy to miss as it is in a 70kph zone. It is also easy to get too without having to drive through central Albany. The facilities are good so we could cook our meals without problems. The room was a bit too cool, the weather at night was cold, and we needed the aircon on to heat the room quite often. Despite being near the road, we had a back room and it was quiet and we were not disturbed.

Convenient location, good price, clean units. Would stay again
